Public Enquiry Project has just completed an empirical study using a proprietary methodology of the political affiliations of Red Sox fans. Here are our findings:
1 - 39.8% of Massachusetts residents are Republicans.
2 - The reamaining 60.2% are divided between Communists, Greens, Naderites, Libertarians and Democrats.
3 - 89.6% of Mass Republicans love baseball and are Red Sox fans.
4 - only 48.2% of Mass non-Republicans love baseball and are Red Sox fans.
5 - A little mathematics thus reveals that 55.17% of Sox fans are Republicans and love George W. Bush while 44.83% of Sox fans will probably vote for Kerry.
GO SOX!
GO GEORGE W BUSH!
When Kerry lobbed his pitch (nothing like Bush's strike in NY with Yankees)
he got booed yyeeeeeeaaaahhhhh
That is why he will not show up for the world series......and he is from Mass......

Adrian bullshat:
"5 - A little mathematics thus reveals that 55.17% of Sox fans are Republicans and love George W. Bush [...]"
I do not see how you can justify conflating those two concepts. New England yankees (small 'y') may be predominantly Republican and Red Sox fans, but that does not mean that they "love George W. Bush".
To quote New Hampshire libertarian Republican gadfly P.J. O'Rourke from back in 1993 after Clinton's inauguration: "Now we Republicans can stop pretending that we like George Bush." He was referring to Bush Sr., of course, but the same principle applies.
Bush is a terrible Republican. He embodies the worst attributes of the Culture Warriors without bringing in a single shred of fiscal responsibility.
GO SOX!!!

SHEEZ AREYOU A COMIC BOOK PINKO OR WHAT. MOST MASS REPUBLICANS ARE MIDDLE CLASS WORKING PEOPLE LIKE ME. WE LOVE THE SOX, THE PATRIOTS, HOWIE CARR AND PRESIDENT GEORGE W. BUSH.

PURE BULL.

BUSH IS THE GREATEST. KERRY IS A CRIMINAL.
ABRAHAM LINCOLN WOULD HAVE HANGED HIM AND FDR WOULD HAVE SHOT HIM.

"1 - 39.8% of Massachusetts residents are Republicans."
I had no idea there were that many Republicans in Massachusetts. I would have guessed 35% at the very MAXIMUM.

Coming from a Red Sox fanatic and registered as an independent but wouldn't vote for a Democrat if you had a gun to my head I can relate.
I can relate to this also......2004 Super Bowl Champs.....2004 World Series Champs....2004 George Bush stomps John Kerry into the ground.
2004 is summing up to be a pretty good year.

From what I can recall of that pitch GWB threw out at the Yankees game, he had a pretty wicked breaking ball .
I'd be surprised if Kerry could get a whiffle ball over home plate...

Kerry throws like a girl.

If there's THAT many Republicans in Boston, how does Kerry and Kennedy keep winning?

"If there's THAT many Republicans in Boston, how does Kerry and Kennedy keep winning?"
Because the Communists, Greens, Naderites, and Democrats are almost 60%.

"2004 World Series Champs"
Ok Firecoco, you said it first, so I won't jinx it by mentioning the parade.
How are the parade plans going? My husband and I are playing with the idea of heading up to MA to go so our boys can be a part of it. I didn't sleep a wink last night and am a bundle of nerves today - they could do it tonight!! OMG, this is too much, Boston is actually planning a victory parade for the Red Sox!!!
GO BOSOX!!!!!

GO BOSOX!!!!!

I'll admit that while I am a true Phillies fan and always will be, I was rooting for the Sox cause I love an underdog story.
Then I thought about Kerry and Kennedy and how happy they would be if Boston won, and I got all mad and wanted them to lose.
Immature, I know but I couldn't help it. Now, I'm trying to be happy for all the Boston fans who have waited so long for a victory.
I can relate because I'm an Eagles fan too.

I'd bet most of the Red Sox players are Republicans too. At least I know Curt Shilling is a Republican.

That almost changes this Yankees Fan's mind about the Red Sox. I agree with an earlier post about Hillary though....she has brought a new curse to NY.
Sharing a sentiment with Kerry, I hope the Red Sox continue to score a lot of touchdowns!

Well, DUH! If ya had a buncha whiney libs in the stands, they'd be booing every time Ortiz or Ramierez hit a home run. "Hey! That's not fair to the other team! Can't you guys have some sort of run-sharing program to make it fair!?" And they'd also be criticizing them for using wooden bats and leather gloves. "How many trees had to die for you to hit .350, Ortiz?"
Posted by: ThaSickness | October 27, 2004 at 01:15 PM
OMG he said Manny Ortez???
Personally, I think their pitching is top-notch, especially that Pedro Wakefield and Orlando Schilling.
Does he think people would hate him if he said he didn't know anything about baseball??? I would find that infinitely more respectable than pretending like you know what you're talking about. Retardiculous!

George W. Bush is cheating on his wife. The story will hit the papers just before the election. It is the ultimate october surprise! Kerry will win in a landslide!
