I have a plan too..........."You there, you Love America?.....No?....Bang."

Simplistic, but effective.

I'll be watching tonight, that's for sure!

I'm a Pittsburgh Pirates fan, but I'll be rooting hard for your Red Sox tonight. I remember how crushed I was when the Pirates blew a 2-0 lead in the 9th inning in Game 7 of the playoffs against the Braves in 1992. The Pirates last won the World Series in 1979, and that seems like an eternity, so I can only imagine how you Bostonians and Chicagoans feel.

Nothing makes me happier than to see those New York fans go home disappointed.

From an e-mail I received yesterday:

"Boston sports teams are like men in relationships: the Patriots are like the new boyfriend that you really like- he's awesome but almost too good to be true, so you worry.

The Bruins are like the guy that you just casually dated and you dont really care about him, he's just something to do.

The Celtics are like the marriage that was great at one time but has lost its spark and you always kinda look back and think about how great it was.

And the Sox are the hard core abusive husband who just absolutely beats the sh!t out of you, but day after day you always go back to him cause you always believe that tomorrow will be different and you just love him too much."

History says Yanks tonight, but then again nothing is forever, even the Kennedy....err.....curse of the Bambino. One thing you can count on, though - when guys get on base, the game will slow down to a crawl. Have you noticed that since both teams are so paranoid about sign stealing, every play that may be on defensively, or seemingly every pitch must be decided upon in a face to face, instead of flashing signals.

Hahaha! Great post, Spidle! I know I won't be able to keep myself from watching tonight...

NativeSon

None of this matters at all. The 'Stros are gonna smoke 'em.

THE YANKEES ARE THE GREATEST!

AFwarrior

I hope the Sox win, but I think their cursed like my Cubs. God, I was hoping for a Sox, Cubs series last year. I'm still pissed.

I am an unabashed Yankee hater, but The Curse is a part of the fabric of the game. The drama we will see tonight and that we experienced the previous 2 games will never be experienced quite the same if somehow the Red Sox win.

I hope the Sox lose in some strange fashion late in the game and the Yanks get swept in the World Series. Then all will be right in with the Baseball Gods.

"THE YANKEES ARE THE GREATEST!"

AMEN to that......but if Bosox pull it off, more power to them!

History also dictated that they should have lost last night as no team in MLB history has ever climbed back from 3-0 in the series.

Sigh - if they lose I will be so ticked off that they strung us along this far. I haven't slept in a week. I will be glued to the t.v. tonight.

There is one thing I do know - after all the whining twinkle toes A-fraud did last night, old Petie - should he take the mound, will be throwing some chin music his way. I predict a brawl tonight, and it ain't gonna be pretty.

Go Sox - we believe, we always believed.

After this the World Series will seem to be a anti-climax. I think the Sox will win with their deeper bullpen. If Lowe does tank early, there are several pitchers who can go multible innings to take up the slack. I don't think the Yanks are as deep in that respect. Unless Brown pitches a gem tonight, I don't think the Yanks can score enough runs to beat the Sox.

firecoco

We (The Red Sox) spotted the bums three games just to make it interesting

GO SOX ...(firecoco walks away from the computer praying and with fingers crossed)
