Sam the Sham

There are a few points this article is missing.

The Salafists destroyed themselves with their sickening atrocities. They massacred villages. They murdered women who wore western clothing. They imposed something they called "pleasure marriages". Basically, saying to a woman, you sleep with all my men or we will kill you and your family.

The Salafists were destroyed because the Algerian people decided that whatever the flaws of the government, they did not want to be ruled by rapists and baby killers.

Algeria isn't the most promising role model.

Well, not so good for Texas, New York or Illinois, but pretty good for that part of the world.

Bloody Sam Roberts

As far as Algeria is concerned...we can thank the French for showing us how NOT to do it. They screwed up royally in the late '50's.

Great story, but for thr next couple of months, the DNC does not want to hear any good news or and great stories.

Adrian Spidle - This is a great story. And there is hope "big time" in Iraq. We see and hear the stories from those over there through the internet and other means and they are calling it like they see it. And things are better.

The Iraqi Army is getting stronger and stronger. the Police force is the same way. The insurgents can no longer defeat them.

....and the people of Iraq have tasted freedom...and they like the taste. As we've seen in the past few days, they are spilling their own blood for it, because they see that it is worth fighting for.

Like ernest2camp said: any good news coming from Iraq is bad news for the New Democratic Party and John Kerry. So we wont read or see anything good in the networks who support Kerry.

Each day that goes by, the Iraqi Army is taking more and more responsibility from the US Forces.

We're on the right track. We just need to finish up what's already about 68 to 70% complete.
