My husband saw a bumper sticker which said, Vietnam Veteran Against John Kerry. He wants one.

And how exactly is the electorate going to find this out?? On the internet???

Kerry will be lucky to get over 45% in November. He's not going to win.

Yes, I seen the one you're referring to, which was nice because I live in MA. As a matter of fact, I've been keeping score between the Bush and Kerry bumper stickers lately, and Kerry doesn't lead by much!

"John Kerry will never win when the electorate finds out that two thirds of all Vietnam Veterans can’t stand him."

Sounds like John Edwards' relationship with the people of North Carolina...

So Cal Rocket

John Kerry will never win, if the electorate finds out...

... that he was in attendence at a meeting of the VVAW where a vote was taken on whether to assassinate 5 US Senators.

... that he admitted to committing war crimes in Viet Nam.

... that adultry on his part was one of the reasons for his first divorce.

... that Teresa Heinz has contributed millions to ultra-lefty organizations.

... that he has not released all of his service records and that he squelched the release of those that paint him in an unfavorable light.

... that two of his three purple hearts were issued under suspicious circumstances.
... that the vast majority of Swift Boat captains say that he is unfit to serve as Commander in Chief.

The question is... will the mainstream media let these stories get out?

"The question is... will the mainstream media let these stories get out?"

Of course, we all know what the answer is...

(a post snippet)
"Kerry's betrayal of American prisoners of war, his blatant disrespect for the families of our missing in action, Vietnam veterans, the military, his support for communist Vietnam and his waffling over the issue of use of force in Iraq proves he is a self promoting Chameleon Senator who cannot be relied on to protect the best interests of the United States."

A brief disclosure of what Kerry is about. It was very chic at the time, as Hanoi Jane demonstrated, to bash our miltary, our country, and the beat from the extreme radical left goes on today. And of course, look who these people are -- the elitists who live in utopian bubbles isolated from most of the realities of life. As a VN-era vet, you can bet that Kerry, and his ilk, have my disdain. What Kerry did to our troops after the war, and the aid and comfort he gave to our enemy, far outweigh his military service there (all 90 days of it).

It would be a tragedy, for our contry and our military, to have this person as our Commander-in-Chief. Of course, our enemies are drooling over the idea....sad.

Here in Lost Angeles.......

Kerry Bumper Stickers everywhere...:( I always pull upside them and look down on them till they acknowledge my stare....(from my SUV!).

In the past two days i was confronted twice by recruiters.....One at the Famous Farmers market where there was a table for voter registration....however right behind the table was a shrine to Kerry...! Yuck!

The second encouter was yesterday at a street fair. Two loonies w/ clipboards and Bush w/ red slash circles on them approached me and said"will you help defeat George Bush".....I gave them the coldest look without saying a word. They scurried like a pacifist fighting a war!

30% of Americans hate America?

Andi

... that he was in attendence at a meeting of the VVAW where a vote was taken on whether to assassinate 5 US Senators.

O.o Source please?

Wendy

2/3 of vets hate Kerry? says who? how about sourcing your claims?

as long as you don't, these claims smell pretty bad. they look like lies to me.

GOB

So going awol from the TANG is cool?

Getting 900 kids killed in a war you started on shitty intelligence and going to exactly ZERO funerals of those kids is cool? How is that showing respect?

You clowns have such blinders on.

Doc Rampage

Republic Rocker, how would you like it if Democrats were going around trying to indimidate Republicans?

People in the US have forgotten how important it is to keep politics civil. They have forgotten that democracy is a substitute for revolutions and civil wars and that it can quickly devolve into those older institutions.

The best way to prevent that from happening is for everyone to commit to courtesy in political debate.

ahem

Gosh, what a scientific poll.

Jeebus of America

IF TWO THIRDS OF JOHN KERRY’S FELLOW VETERANS HATE HIM, HOW COULD HE EVER EFFECTIVELY DEFEND AMERICA AS COMMANDER-IN-CHIEF?

Lemme see ... how many of those Vietnam vets are currently serving? Seems to me the effectiveness of a Commander in Chief would be more related to those who are currently serving rather than a bunch of disgruntled old farts.

Only Viet vets I know are ex combat vets and they're rabidly anti-war (something about getting shot at that leaves vivid memories). You must be hanging out with the nutter wannabe crowd, dude (and reading the unsubstantiated posts in this thread from your normal readership, I think I'm on to something).

Final note: I served under Reagan whom I despised, yet I took pride in serving honorably as I was sworn to do. I consider any soldier who lets his attitude of the Commander in Chief get in the way of doing his sworn duty to be a traitor. I still think any of those in the military who worked against Clinton and his policies while he was the legally elected President were treasonous. You wouldn't happen to have been one of those, eh?

Me? Both my parents were married (I was enlisted, not commissioned).

VA Doc

I am a physician at a major VA Hospital in the Southern California area. I daily treat many veterans from all different age groups in both a clinica and urgent care setting. There is no chance that 2/3 of Vietnam vets are against Kerry. In fact, Vietnam vets are usually the most open minded and liberal of all the veterans I treat. Most of them are very honest about the Vietnam war, and how harmful it was to both our country and the poor country of Vietnam. They tend to dislike draft dodging chickenhawks who are quick to send a new generation to equally futile wars.

Bob Munck

I don't think you're a "Vietnam Vet" if you just visited Saigon for a few days before the war started. So if your "2/3rds" statistic comes from polling yourself and a couple of other guys, you'd better recalculate.

WELL DOC, DON'T YOU THINK VA HASPITAL PATIENTS SKEW TO THE LOWER ECONOMIC LEVELS WHICH WOULD NATURALLY BE RESENTFUL DEMOCRAT TYPES? THE VAST MAJORITY OF VIETNAM VETS ARE MIDDLE CLASS AND PROBABLY WOULDN'T BE CAUGHT DEAD BEING TREATED BY GOVERNMENT DOCTORS.

triticale

Andi, my understanding is that the F.B.I. had an informant at the meeting, and that the redacted transcript was released on an FOIA request. Kerry voted against the plot, but did not distance himself from the plotters.

Andi, Wendy,

"...that he admitted to committing war crimes in Viet Nam."

I noticed you two didn't challenge the war crimes line... does Abu Garaib ring a bell with you. The new York Times and LA Times (propaganda mouthpieces for the left) beat this issue to death in Iraq, and the soldiers there only humiliated people with their sexual persersions. But evidently you believe John Kerry's admitted ATROCITIES are some sort of red badge of courage??

adipex

Do you keep on eating this and that whole day? It is the main cause behind your weight gain. You are eating more without physical activity. I understand you cannot control those cravings. So I will recommend you to take adipex. Yes, you need to buy adipex if you wish to go for weight loss. Do not worry; if you wish you can get cheap adipex, what you will have to do is, order adipex online. If you buy adipex online you will get it cheap. Control those cravings for chocolate, chips and fatty foods with Adipex.
